So, how have y'all been doing? I'm pretty good, actually! *G* Also? I have BVL letters!!! For both Giles and Xander! Not to mention the ones I already had! ::bounces:: I think there's going to be a lot of letter writing this weekend. ::nods:: Well, should there be time between Mom coming down Saturday and staying over and me doing all the errands and stuff I would otherwise have done if Mom hadn't stayed over. ::eyeroll:: But, yay! BVL letters!

Also? I think I have my two nearest ficathon deadline fics nearly finished! I still need to type them up (handwritten, owie.) and edit them, but I've got plenty of time. They're more than two weeks ahead of their deadlines. I know!! It's a freakin' miracle. *G*

Yeah, I know, I talk about nothing way too much. I'll try to do better . . . when I have more time. :-)

It is a busy, busy week here. My mom's training for her new job, and those the job is near her place, the training is near mine. So, she's been around a bit and is going to be staying over tonight. Plus, I'm currently focusing on a project that I want to get finished by May 1st, and so I'm scurrying and hanging out with my mother, and then scurrying some more. I haven't even replied to the comments to Life Support, and I feel awful about it. ::makes pitiful face:: Plus, I've got a zillion BVL things to do. So, I'm a little pressed for time at the moment.

But, I feel better than I have in a while, I think that sinus infection finally gave up and went home. I hope! ::hugs to all::

The last few days have been all jumbled up! ::laughs:: Things are going well (and looking up in some cases), but the Fiance is working a ton of overtime, going in early and occassionally on Saturdays, but he sometimes gets off early, but kinda randomly. So, my time for getting things done (when the Fiance's here, I'd rather spend time with him, afterall) has been completely confused and I . . . Well, haven't gotten much done. ::hangs head:: ;-)

So, I'm making a list of my commitments and when they're due. I am officially not taking on anymore fic things until I've gotten through all these. Er, well . . . You know, if something comes up and I really, really . . . ::tries to give self a stern glare:: ::comes away with a headache:: ::reminds self to use mirror next time:: *G*

Other than that, I had a wonderful Sunday with the Fiance and I'm feeling lots better. I've finished the first draft of the Giles/Xander I've been trying to finish all year!! Yay! I still need to go over it and edit it a bit, then send it off to beta, and then--finally--post! ::bounces:: I will soon be posting fic and starting on my gilesxander Ficathon Fic (woot!). After that, I've got lgbtfest fic to write, and then I've got cya_ficathon fic! Yes, I went a little crazy with the ficathon signing up, but I figure that having deadlines will be good for me. ::raises eyebrow at self::

So how are y'all doin'? I haven't been around much, lately, so I have no idea what's been happening; anything good?

Around 7:31pm - Stern self-lecture on this being how migraines happen and I'm lucky I'm not curled up under the covers wishing my head would just implode already and get it over with.

I can hear the rain (and I love that sound) and I may go out and take a walk in it. ::nods:: I do worry about the Fiance driving in it, though. Things get rough out there when there's a storm and I think we're supposed to get hail with this one. ::rethinks that walk:: It doesn't sound like hail, though . . . ::ponders::

Anyway, I have written over 50,000 words, this year alone. *G* I have almost 75,000 words in the new novel itself (some of that was written last year, obviously) and the gods only know how many I've written in world building. (I like to do prelimnary world building on paper, where I can sketch the things I'm talking about.) ::bounces:: It's so good to be eyeball deep in a novel again!

However, I have to work not to forget that I still need to query for the last novel. ::laughs:: So, a lot of today will be spent in more querying. Which I find totally nerve wracking. Wish me luck!

A big, huge Happy Birthday to killerweasel and a big huge, early Happy Birthday to nonnycat, whom I've know for . . . Wow, a long time. *G* I hope you both have fantastic days, filled with wonderful things!

I had a crappy weekend. Well, no, that's not entirely true. I was sick this weekend and felt crappy, but the weekend itself was mostly average. ::nods:: I'm feeling better, but my head still kinda feels as if my brain's been stamped 'fragile' (really quite hard) and then surrounded by packing peanuts. Some of the packing peanuts have, unfortunately, migrated into my sinuses.

Still, I had to get something done today. I've been going crazy with restlessness. So far, I've cleaned the kitchen and straightened the living room, and I'd like to do my yoga, but I don't know how far I'll get. It's rather breathing intensive. Why do so many activities require me to be able to breathe? ::pout:: Maybe I'll just do the easy one, and save the harder one for tomorrow. ::ponders:: Either way, I need to decide soon, because doing yoga on a full stomach is, apparently, a bad idea and I'm starving.

We'll see how it goes. If I keep feeling this well, there might even be fanfic soon! Yeah, I know, kinda strange to see my saying that, huh? ::laughs:: I miss writing fanfic.

You know, one day, all of us daysleepers are going to get tired of stupid people who don't know what 'afternoon' means and instead call at 9am--or worse, the ones that call at 9am, to tell you they're not going to call in the afternoon!--and we're going to take over the earth.

::nods:: I think this is a workable idea! I mean, they'll never know when we're coming, and then we can make everybody sleep in to a reasonable hour. *G*

Although, to be fair, the cats need a stern talking to as well. I was awakened twice by Smudge purring like a frieght train while rubbing her shoulder against my nose (I think she had an itch), twice more by Caramel climbing where he shouldn't and knocking over pictures, and once by Peacock, who apparently decided my toes looked kinda delicious.

Still, I think my 'daysleepers take over the world' plan is feasible! At least, more feasible than getting the cats to behave . . .

First, because it's the thing about which I have the least to say, there's a Love Meme hosted by notthequiettype!! I think that's just what fandom needs! My thread is here, if you want to pop over and give me some love! *G*

Second, I was strolling through the prompts over at lgbtfest and . . . ::gapes:: There are some prompts over there that I'm dying for people to claim (when it comes time) and I was already torn about whether to participate. I really want to (especially after looking at the prompts! I got grabbed by things in fandoms I've never even gone near! (Numb3rs! Coupling! Torchwood!) And then, of course, there were the tons of lovely prompts for my 'standard' fandoms of BtVS, Firefly, and Heroes!), but I'm not sure I can depend on myself to get the story written.

I would love if I could claim a prompt/prompts (do we only get one?) and then take as long as I liked to write it/them. ::laughs:: I'm so worried that I won't be able to get the story out (as I haven't been able to finish my mostly finished fanfic that I started in Decemember or January) and I don't want to take a prompt away from someone who could really make it work . . . But! But! Look at these prompts! Seven pages full of them!

Of course, I wouldn't have to have anything written until April 10th, at the very earliest . . . Oh, man. I'm so screwed. *G*

A Big, huge Happy Birthday to darkhavens! I hope it was spectacular, sweetie! Full of wonderful things, and slashy goodness! And, given how often I post in the evening, I'm going to try to start wishing people happy birthday the day before. *G*

::rubs aching head:: I can feel a migraine starting. ::sighs:: I've taken my medicine, and now I'm going to go lie down and hope it goes away.

At least I got a few things done today! I helped my mom work out some things, updated two of my BVL journals, and got my letters ready to go out tomorrow. I wanted to get them out today, but I was on the phone with mom for three hours, and it just didn't happen.

I'm working my way (slowly) through my email, but the rest is going to have to wait. I don't think there's anything time sensitive, so that'll be okay.

Also, yesterday, I finally finished my readthrough of the Fiance's first draft novel! ::bounces:: It was fun, and it's a good story! I can't wait to see what he does with it. It's just a first draft, which means he has so much fun yet to come! I love second drafts. *G*

Anyway, I'm off. I hope y'all are having fabulous days!

It was a very fun, but busy, weekend. I didn't have much time to LJ, or do my yoga. :-( Still, I'll make up for it this week. ::nods:: All we've got next weekend is the Fiance's boss' girlfriends' B-day, which we're kinda obligated to go to. Although, we probably would anyway, because N (the Fiance's boss) is a very nice guy. Other than that I may not leave the house all of next weekend! ::laughs:: Well, at least, I won't if I can help it. I've got a very thick library book with very small print to finish before it's due back and I'm looking forward to some quality time with it. ::nods::

My outing with mom was fun! And this despite our getting lost and going way far out of our way. Of course, that is entirely made up for by the fact that we were walking around an art supply store that also had 'home decor' type stuff. One of them was a ceramic cat and my mom tried to say, "I love kitties!", but it came out, "I love titties!" *G*

And now the pimping!! There's an awesome new fest community up and running called lgbtfest! I'm sorry about the lack of updatage, but I've been kinda busy and out of it, plus being waaaaaay more physically social than I am normally wont to be. ::hangs head:: I'm a great big hermit. But, three wonderful people--okay, bunches of wonderful people, but two wonderful people in my immediate vicinity and, well, me--have/had birthdays this month, and I just had to throw off the worn robes of my hermitism and celebrate! *G*

Last night the Fiance and I went out to an abosolutely lovely little place to have dinner with D, katekat1010, and fellow hermit snash_attack to celebrate D's birthday. It was wonderful, and a good time (and a damn good meal) was had by all.

In allergy news--because I know you've all been dying to hear ::snerk::--Claritin is my new hero. ::nods:: I was worried, at first, because it seemed to wear off really fast and you can only take it once a day, but I kept up with it and it lasted a bit longer every day, and kicked in a bit sooner every day, and now it's got most of my weird-ass schedule covered. ::nods:: I am, effectively, allergy-free!! Three cheers for Claritin!

Unfortunately, I have been just awful about wishing Happy Birthdays to the birthday-having members of my flist, for which I grovel and appologize abjectly. Big, huge Happy Birthdays, this year and every year, to all my fellow February births! (elizabuffy especially! And amymcabe, whose birthday I have not yet missed! *G*)

In closing? I adore yoga. (And, apparently, adverbs. ::laughs:: Grammar humor rocks!!! Okay maybe that's just me.)

For the Fiance's birthday, we went out to a club last night with katekat1010, snash_attack, and D. It was fantastic, and fun, and relaxing, and both the Fiance and I really needed the night out. I'm little miss hermit and he's been working way, way too hard. (I barely saw him yesterday, before we left for the club, because he was working.)

Despite the fact that my butt is turning black and blue. The cab we took to get downtown had some weird metal hoop thing, half-burried in the backseat. At first I thought I'd sat really hard on the seatbelt, but it wasn't that. It was metal and I hit the edge of it hard, so now my butt? Kinda bruised.

But, the club owner gave us free passes to get in, next time we go out, and there was much discussion--and some squeeing and fanfic-talk when Kate and I sneaked off by ourselves. *G* Now if I could only remember all the links and such I'm supposed to be sending her. I swear, we're going to have to start tape recording our conversations, just so we can remember this stuff. Or, at least, I will, as she seems to be right on top of things! *G*

Also? I had a nap a little while ago (the Benadryl, although it seems I confused Claratin and Claratin D. One has pseudoephedrine and the other doesn't, so I can take Claratin, just not Claratin D! This is very of the good, because the Benadryl is zombifying me.) and I had the strangest dream! It was Buffy/Faith femslash, but not like nice, sweet and romantic. The two of them were chasing after each other, each confrontation charged with sexual tension. I woke up before the ending, but I don't think it ended well.
