A Thought
I hate the term 'refugee'. I hate it, hate it, hate it. You know how to make someone running from a disaster feel like shit? Call them a refugee: it all at once reminds them of the disaster and says “you don't belong here.” It's awful. And, while I know that's not what most people mean when they use it, it is what a surprising number of people mean.
